Who is Jake Solberg?

I’m not a politician.

I’m a husband, father, entrepreneur, and Afton resident who believes good local government starts with listening.

Professionally, I’ve built businesses, managed complex projects, and worked with organizations where communication, transparency, and practical problem-solving were essential. Those same principles should guide City Hall.

I’ve also experienced local government from the other side of the table. Like many residents, I’ve navigated permits, planning processes, and city meetings. Those experiences reinforced my belief that government works best when it treats residents as partners—not obstacles.

Outside of work, you’ll find me enjoying everything that makes Afton special: local events, the St. Croix River, and spending time with my family.

I’m running because I believe Afton deserves leadership that is accessible, thoughtful, and focused on the people who call this community home.
